SPMS participated in the World Health Summit (WHS), which took place in Berlin from October 13 to 15. This year’s event was themed “Building Trust for a Healthier Society,” with a focus on digital health.

Cátia Sousa Pinto, head of the Global Digital Health and International Affairs Team at SPMS, took part in the session “Unlocking AI’s Potential in Healthcare: A Public-Private Collaborative Journey.” The session included experts in public health, medicine, public policy, and technology, who discussed the challenges and opportunities of applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare.

The World Health Summit, sponsored by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, is a platform for global health discussions, bringing together various sectors to promote solutions that improve the health and well-being of populations.

SPMS’s participation in this event facilitated the exchange of experiences and strengthened knowledge about the growing use of AI in healthcare, focusing on the relationship between regulation and innovation in this field.
